FIRST SIGNS OF DEFECTS?
So you've selected the plot you want, made your colour and kitchen choices and now you've picked up your keys to your new home. Deliriously happy with the condition of your new home?
If you are, then congratulations, you are one of the lucky ones.
If you're not and you have that "niggly" feeling that the house isn't quite finished as expected or wasn't as clean as you expected then be aware, these are usually the first sign of a rushed completion.
Our research indicates that more than 3 out of 4 homeowners have problems with relatively serious defects in a new home such as Leaky pipes, faulty central heating, rainwater ingress. The figure rises to 4 out of 4 if you include annoying smaller defects such as scratched glass, damaged work surfaces, chipped brick work etc.
